Almanac Area Coverage: 150 Ports and Harbours

 

A comprehensive directory of harbour, tidal and weather data for 150 harbours from Lowestoft to Padstow and Vlissingen to L’Aber-Wrac’h, including the waters of the English Channel.

Simply click on the area you're interested in and select your preferred port from the list.  

 

 

 

 

Full port and harbour information

Each of the 150 ports and harbour directories contains all the navigation and background information you need including tides, harbourmaster contacts, pilotage, charts and aerial photographs of the approaches.

This information is updated monthly from Admiralty notices to mariners, harbourmasters, almanac representatives and feedback from users

For every port there is also a full facilities listing with thousands of entries from divers to dentists and marinas to museums. Each entry includes address and contact details with a link to their website.

   

Tide heights, times and tidal streams

Tide times and heights for every port and harbour covered for the entire year. They are calculated using the Admiralty simplified harmonics and for your convenience no secondary port calculations are required.

Tidal streams are also based on Admiralty tidal stream atlases, with detailed information available for the Channel, the Solent and Channel Islands. Select the area you want, the day you are interested in from the calendar and slide the bar at the bottom of the screen to the time of day for the simplest method imaginable of dealing with tidal streams. 

Weather forecasts

The seven day weather forecast includes wind direction and force in knots and Beaufort scale, sea state, air temperature, cloud cover, sun/moon rise and set

The information comes from NOAA and is updated every six hours.

Even if you are am not connected to the internet, you can view your most most recent forecast.
